General information on the Crow Car
 
Mount Brydges, like many towns, has many stories and events that we can talk about. An example of this is the all but forgotten history of the Crow Car, which was produced by the Crow Car Company, in Mount Brydges !
 

Crow-Elkhart (Elkhart)

Name: Crow-Elkhart Motor Car Company
Founders: Dr. L. C. Crow and son, Martin - both were involved until 1919
Location: Elkhart, Indiana
Production Years: 1911-1923
Best Production Year: 1917 - 3800 cars


Crow-Elkhart (Mount Brydges)

Name: Canadian Crow Motor Company Ltd.
Associated with: Crow-Elkhart Motor Car Company
Location: Mount Brydges, Ontario (plant no longer in existence)
Production Years: 1915-1918
Best Production Year: 1916-1917 - 100 cars

 
 
 
 

Above:A working model of the Crow Motor Company Ltd. plant in Mount Brydges.
In 1915 a decision was made to build a 200 foot long, 50 foot wide, and one story high building.
The plant was located on Railroad Street.
In 1970 the building was destroyed by a fire.
